Mouse ENCODE
To complement to the human Encyclopedia of DNA Elements (ENCODE) project and enable a broad range of mouse genomics and translational research efforts, the Mouse ENCODE Consortium is applying the same technologies and experimental pipelines developed for human ENCODE in order to annotate functional elements encoded in the mouse genome.
Our component of the Mouse ENCODE Project is to create comprehensive maps of mouse regulatory DNA using DNaseI hypersensitivity mapping and footprinting applied to major mouse cells and tissues.
