ENCODE Project
The UW ENCODE Project is a member of the ENCODE Consortium, an international effort to identify all of the functional elements in the human genome. www.encodeproject.org.
The UW ENCODE Project (www.uwencode.org) aims to create high-quality, genome-wide catalogues of human and mouse DNaseI hypersensitive sites (DHSs) for all major cell and tissue types. DHSs mark diverse cis-regulatory elements including enhancers, promoters, silencers, insulators, and locus control regions.
